Alive-ish Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the mobile game Alive-ish (the "Game") collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. The Game is published by Nick Squared LLC ("we", "us", "our").

In short: the Game works fully offline, there is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours anywhere in it. Your creature, its history and your settings are stored only on your device. The only outside parties involved are Apple or Google, to process a purchase you make, and Google AdMob and Meta (Facebook), to show an optional rewarded ad and to measure app-install advertising — with your consent where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

For any privacy question or request, contact us at the email above. Please include "Alive-ish privacy" in the subject.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information stored only on your device

Your creature's state (its name, age, care history and streak), unlocked cosmetics, settings, and whether reminders are enabled. This stays in the Game's own storage on your device. Uninstalling the Game, or clearing its data, deletes all of it. We never see it, and it is never copied to any server of ours, because the Game has none.

2.2 Reminders

If you enable reminders, they are scheduled entirely by your device's own operating system. No reminder content or schedule is sent to us or to any third party.

2.3 The home-screen widget

If you add the widget, it reads a snapshot of your creature that the Game writes locally on your device — in an iOS App Group container, or in the app's own storage on Android. This never leaves your device.

2.4 Purchases

The Game offers a cosmetic pack and a one-time Remove Ads purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never receive your payment card or billing details. The Game only receives confirmation from the store that a purchase succeeded, so it can unlock what you bought and restore it later through the store's own restore-purchases mechanism.

2.5 Advertising

The Game offers one kind of ad and no others: an optional rewarded video, for example to revive your creature. There are no banners and no interstitials anywhere in the Game.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier (where available and permitted), IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions in order to serve, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads. Google acts as an independent controller for this data; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

The Game also includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK, used only to measure and attribute app-install advertising run through Meta — it does not sign you into Facebook, does not post on your behalf, and the Game has no Facebook Login or sharing feature. Meta may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier (where available and permitted), IP address, and device/app information to measure which ad led to installing the Game. Meta acts as an independent controller for this data; see Meta's Privacy Policy and how the Meta SDK for app install attribution works.

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and in US states with applicable privacy laws, the Game uses Google's User Messaging Platform to ask for or record your choices before any ad is requested or any advertising identifier is used by AdMob or the Meta SDK. On iOS, the Game also asks for App Tracking Transparency permission before any ads-related tracking identifier is used by either. If you decline either, or if consent cannot be established for any reason, the Game requests no personalised ads, the Meta SDK does not collect the advertising identifier, and the Game continues to play normally — declining never blocks or changes anything else in the Game.

We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, precise location, photos, files, microphone or camera data, health data, biometrics, or payment card information. The Game contains no account system, no leaderboard, and no crash-reporting or analytics SDK of any kind.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising except through the Google AdMob and Meta advertising described above, subject to your consent choices. We use these service providers:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).

5. International transfers

The Game has no server of its own. Google, Meta and Apple may process information in other countries in connection with ads and purchases. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep information

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or US states such as California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@nicksquared.co. Because the Game deliberately holds no information that identifies you, in most cases there is simply nothing on our side to act on beyond what your device already lets you control. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The Game does not request child-directed ad treatment. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Purchases and ad requests are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) by Apple's, Google's, Google AdMob's and Meta's own systems. The Game has no server or database of its own to secure, because it has none. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the Game or on the store listing.
